What We Believe:
Respectfully, if you do not believe what we believe, we
love you, but for the Gospel to move forward in Lake County
Florida and the surrounding area, these are the bonds
that must tie us together:
1. We believe in the complete inspiration of
the Word of God; God breathed; God makes no
errors; God is the final authority; if God's Word says
something happened, then it literally happened.
2 Timothy 3:16-17--16 All
scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable
for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction
in righteousness:
17 That the man of God
may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
2. We believe in God the Father, God the Son,
and God the Holy Spirit, Three in One. Matthew
16:16-- And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art
the Christ, the Son of the living God.
3. We believe Jesus Christ came to earth by virgin
birth. Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be
with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall
call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is,
God with us.
4. We believe in the death, burial, and resurrection
of Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4-- 3
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also
received, how that Christ died for our sins according
to the scriptures; 4 And
that he was buried, and that he rose again the third
day according to the scriptures:
5. We believe in the imminent return of Jesus
Christ for the true body of believers. 1 Thessalonians
4:13-18-- 13 But I would
not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them
which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others
which have no hope. 14 For
if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so
them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto
you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive
and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent
them which are asleep. 16
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with
a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the
trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive
and remain shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall
we ever be with the Lord. 18
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
6. We request that minor doctrinal differences
not be practiced or discussed in order that the Holy
Spirit may have full sway. Minor doctrines include
beliefs concerning dress/apparel, baptism, tithing,
speaking in tongues, physical healing, prophecy, music,
drinking of wine, etc. We do not believe that speaking
in tongues is evidence of salvation. Romans 12:18--
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably
with all men. 1 Corinthians 14:14-- For if I pray in
an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding
is unfruitful.
7. We believe that meeting for prayer is not
the function of one church or denomination but
is for a gathering of the Body of Christ for the salvation
of souls of men, women, and children. Matthew 18:20--
For where two or three are gathered together in my name,
there am I in the midst of them.
8. We believe salvation is by grace through faith,
and not of works. It is a free gift from God.
Ephesians 2:8-9-- 8 For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
9. We believe that water baptism of any form
is not necessary for salvation. Romans 10:9-10--
9 If thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thy heart
that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be
saved. 10 For with the
heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation.
.Romans
10:13; John 10:28.
10. We believe that once you are saved, you cannot
lose your salvation.
Romans 8:38-39--38 For
I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels,
nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present,
nor things to come, 39
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall
be able to separate us from the love of God, which is
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
